ATAVUS is a discreet program focused on young show jumping horses, personally selected, with documented pedigree and long-term preparation. In Latin, atavus means forebear.
We buy young show jumping horses, prepare them, and sell when it makes sense for their value. Behind every step is a reason, not an impression.

Most financial products measure success by the quarter. A horse's value does not grow by the calendar. We hold each horse as long as it makes sense for its development: a horse with potential for top-level sport stays in the program longer, quite possibly beyond three years, while one bought for a faster turnaround may go to market within a year. We do not promise immediate liquidity.
Show jumping horses are exceptionally well documented animals. Studbooks record the complete pedigree and gene pool of every horse. We verify the origin, performance, and health record of the ancestors. We do not guess at them.
The price of a show jumping horse is driven by its jumping performance, its readiness for a rider, and market demand. These factors do not track equities or bonds. The asset is illiquid and volatile. It makes sense as a complement to wealth, not as its core.
We prepare horses calmly, at their own pace. No rush, no spotlight.
The name was not chosen by accident. Avus is Latin for forebear. Atavus means descended from forebears.

A large market, no instrument. For sport horses as an asset, the tools we take for granted elsewhere are missing.

Most European transactions happen privately, which makes price formation inefficient. That is exactly where room opens up for disciplined, data-driven capital that knows how to value and select. ATAVUS is one of the first instruments of its kind in Central Europe.
The global equestrian industry has a direct economic impact on the order of USD 300 billion a year, roughly between film and football in scale. The size of an industry says nothing about the return of an individual investment. It only says that this is an established, capital-deep market.

The final selection of horses is led by an equestrian expert with their own stable and active practice in show jumping. They assess movement, temperament, and readiness in person, not from photographs.
We track the Central European market systematically and through personal contacts in breeding. Only horses with a documented pedigree and a clean veterinary examination are considered.
ATAVUS is preparing a private program through a company that has applied for registration under Section 15 ZISIF. No investment will be accepted before registration is verified and the legal gates are closed. We share details about people, partners, and other horses in person with people who meet the investor conditions.
Behind every decision stands a specific animal. Not a chart, not a product. A horse with a documented pedigree, a name, and its own character.
Erwen: our approach, on one specific mare.

Erwen is one of the mares in our program, in our care since the summer of 2024. We did not select her from a listing. We found her through personal contacts in breeding and verified her pedigree and health before the purchase decision was made.
Under our guidance she goes through targeted preparation. We track her progress in regular cycles and proceed according to what the mare shows us, not according to a fixed schedule.
We do not disclose specific valuations, results to date, or track record publicly. We make them available in person to investors under Section 15(4) ZISIF.
How we decide what to buy and what not to. Three rules we do not compromise on.
We verify pedigree before price.
Before every purchase we verify at least three generations of ancestors on both sides of the line. No horse enters the portfolio without a documented pedigree and health history. Price is only the second question.
We hold as long as it makes sense.
A show-jumping horse gains value gradually as its training and readiness grow. The holding period is set by the specific horse, not the calendar. We search internationally for buyers, including in the United States and the UAE, but we promise neither an export nor a price premium.
We take discretion seriously.
We do not comment publicly on investor names or the complete portfolio composition. We do not use press soundbites or case studies with real clients. Anyone who places capital with us can count on it staying between us.

Rules, structure, and disclosures
ATAVUS is being prepared by Atavus, osoba rizikového kapitálu, s.r.o. for asset management comparable to management under Section 15 ZISIF (Act No. 240/2013 Coll.). On 4 July 2026 the company applied for registration on the list maintained by the Czech National Bank; it does not accept investments before registration is verified. Any registration is evidentiary, is not a licence, and the activity is not subject to CNB supervision. This is not a fund for qualified investors, a SICAV, or a collective investment fund.
Access is restricted to persons who meet the investor conditions under Section 15(4) ZISIF. Entry is conditional on an individual assessment, meeting all statutory criteria, and signing a written risk-acknowledgment declaration. Detailed conditions are set out in the legal notice. A show jumping horse is a collectible and breeding asset. One enters into it out of passion and long-term conviction, not as a product with a promised return. Returns are not guaranteed.
